クリスマスの季節が
やってきましたぁ～。
世界中の人たちが、
楽しくお祝いしています。

でも
このクリスマスがどうやって始まったか。。。
知っていますか？
But...do you know how Christmas began?
今から２０００年前のユダヤの国（現在のイスラエル）で
イエスという男の子が生まれた事が、
クリスマスの起源だと知っている人も多いでしょう。
でも実は、もっと前から物語は始まっていたのです。

the story of Christmas began LONG before that. 
この男の子はキリスト（「救い主」の意味）と
呼ばれるようになりますが、
その誕生の特徴はそれよりずうっと昔から
神の言葉を伝える預言者たちによって預言されていました。
The baby boy would be called "Christ", which means Savior. The special circumstances and meaning surrounding his birth were foretold MANY hundreds of years earlier by prophets God used to speak His words.
