Try as one might, companions always show up, huh?
Those who come along on a quest, who share spoils and earn your trust in sharing back. Those who fight that boss with you, no matter how under-leveled you happen to be.
Trustworthy characters are rare, but the RNG always seems to make some appear.
I met a woman once.
She was older than me, but we got along well. She betrayed a deep yearning. She desired but did not expect someone whom could be trusted.
Animals can gather so naturally.
One settles next to another it does not quite know. They share a natural trait. They co-exist.
Who will co-exist with me. Who's world can coexist with my own.
Anyway. Too much talk, too much thought. When I do find who it is, I want to bond with them before words. Before conversation, before thought. Just a feeling.
But those too caught up in romance are too caught up in thought, and mired in hesitation.
So let me cast away everything. Debating with others is just as much a waste as debating with oneself. Those on the other end of the debate are not inclined to listen.
Change comes from actions. So let's get physical.
