2025/03/18 2日連続でスキーに行ってきました
The day before yesterday and yesterday, I went skiing.
The day before yesterday, I was planning to go to Sora Terrace with my Sri Lankan coworker. The weather got better, but, unexpectedly, the ropeway wasn’t running due to strong winds, so we had to give up on that plan.
Still, we had a great time skiing together!
Yesterday, I skied alone from morning until evening. Near the top, including around Sora Terrace, it was snowing heavily and freezing!
But I’ve gotten better at skiing intermediate courses without slowing down too much, which made it really fun. So, I kept taking the lift and skiing over and over again.
In the afternoon, I came down to the lower slopes and just kept practicing, practicing, and practicing.
The first video is from my last run yesterday, from the 4th lift down to T Hotel. The second video is of an intermediate course from the top.
Ahh, skiing is so much fun!
I can’t wait to go again!
おとついと昨日、スキーをしてきました
おとついは同僚のスリランカ人と一緒にソラテラスに行くつもりだったんですが、天気が良くなったのに、まさかの風でロープウェイが動いてなくて断念
でも一緒に滑れて楽しかったです
昨日は朝から夕方まで一人でスキー。ソラテラスなど頂上近くのコースは吹雪で寒かった！
ただスピードを落とさずに中級コースが滑れるようになってきて楽しかったから、何度もリフトに乗って、滑りました
午後からは下に降りてきて、ひたすら練習、練習、練習
最初の動画は昨日の最後の第4リフトからTホテルまでの滑り、二つ目の動画は昨日の頂上からの中級コースです
あー、スキー楽しい！
また早く滑りたい！！

2025/03/16 素敵なピザ屋さんにいってき
Two days ago, I visited a wonderful pizzeria housed in an old Japanese-style home, about an 8-minute walk from Ryuoo Ski Park.
The place had a cool pizza oven, which made the atmosphere even more special.
I had known about the pizzeria for a while, but due to the massive snow walls, walking there was risky, so this was my first time visiting.
I was also delighted to meet their adorable shop dog, Kojiro(Shiba Inu),he was just too cute!
The restaurant is run by a friendly couple, and everything I had, from the drinks to the food, was absolutely delicious.
Especially,The lemon and pancetta pizza was incredibly delicious and perfect for someone like me who enjoys tangy flavors.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and with so many dishes that pair well with alcohol, I definitely want to visit again!
2日前、竜王スキーパークから歩いて8分くらいのところにある古民家の中にかっこいいピザ窯のある素敵なピザ屋さんに行きました
前から知ってはいたのですが、雪の壁がすごくて、歩いて行くには危なくて、今回初めて訪問しました
素敵な看板犬の小次郎くん（柴犬）が可愛すぎました
お話ししやすいご夫婦が営まれているお店で頂いたものは、飲み物も食べ物もとても美味しく、特にレモンとパンチェッタのピザは酸っぱいもの好きな僕にはたまらなくおいしかったです
すごく素敵で、酒に合うメニューも多かったので、また伺わせて頂きたいです

2025/03/15 気持ち青空の元でスキー（竜王スキーパーク）
Yesterday, I felt like I made much progress in skiing.
I was able to ski down an intermediate course without slowing down too much.
I realized that I had been quite scared before.
I had been using my edges to brake too much.
I still feel a bit nervous when there are a lot of people around because I’m afraid of crashing into them, but skiing has become even more fun.
I was so absorbed in practicing over and over again that before I knew it, about seven hours had passed.
And yet, I still didn’t feel like I had skied enough.
As with anything in life, the more you keep improving little by little, the more enjoyable it becomes.
Skiing has once again taught me valuable lessons about life.
昨日はかなりスキーが上達した気がする
中級者コースをあまりスピード下げることなく滑れるようになった
やっぱ今までかなり怖がってたんだな
エッジでブレーキかけすぎてたんだ
まだ周りにたくさん人が滑ってるとぶつかりそうで怖いけど、とにかくスキーがさらに楽しくなった
何回も何回も夢中で練習してると、いつの間にか7時間くらい経ってた
まだまだ滑り足りませんでした
何事もそうですが、毎回改善を繰り返してるとどんどん楽しくなりますね
スキーから改めて生き方を学んでます

2025/03/14 相変わらず絶景のソラテラス
The breathtaking view of the Northern Alps from Sora Terrace today was absolutely stunning.
By chance, I ran into some colleagues who were here for work, and we all shared the incredible scenery together.
The kebab shop run by a Sri Lankan near the gondola station to Sora Terrace was delicious.
今日のソラテラスからの北アルプスなどの山々の絶景は最高でした
偶然、仕事できていた職場の人たちとも出くわし、みんなで素晴らしい景色を分かち合いました！
ソラテラスに行くゴンドラ乗り場の近くの、スリランカの方がやってるケバブ屋さんが美味しかった

2025/03/13 竜王から湯田中まで歩いてみました
Yesterday, I walked about 9 kilometers from Ryuoo Ski Park to Yudanaka Station.
There’s usually a free shuttle bus, which I normally take.
The towering snow walls made walking a bit intimidating, but over the past few days, the snow has melted quite a bit, making it much easier to walk.
Partway through the walk, “the Shinetsu Five Mountains” (Mt. Madarao, Mt. Myoko, Mt. Kurohime, Mt. Togakushi, and Mt. Iizuna) came into view, along with breathtaking scenery of vast apple orchards.
It took me about 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach the station, where I soaked in an onsen before taking the shuttle bus back.
At the end of the month, I have my annual tradition of walking the entire 45-kilometer loop around all the Yamanote Line stations, so I need to get my legs ready.
昨日は竜王スキーパークから湯田中駅まで9キロキロ歩きました
普段は無料のシャトルバスが出ていて、それに乗ってました
雪の壁がすごいので歩くのが怖かったのですが、ここ数日、だいぶ溶けて歩きやすくなってました
途中からは信越五岳（斑尾山、妙高山、黒姫山、戸隠山、飯縄山）が姿を現し、りんご畑が広がる素晴らしい絶景
だいたい1時間50分くらいで歩き、駅前の温泉に入り、シャトルバスで帰りました
月末に毎年恒例で約45キロの山手線一周全駅歩きを行うので、足を慣らさねばなりません
