能登半島地震から半年が経ちました。
能登は、私の心の故郷です。
でも
「土までも優しい」と言われる能登は、
きっと能登を訪れたことのある多くの人にとって、
心の故郷だと思います。

能登は、
日本の中でも自然に近い地域であり、
交通の便も良くありません。
点在する小さなコミュニティーの中で、
人々が支え合っている地域でもあります。
でも、
厳しい自然の中で
工夫しながら作りあげられてきた文化や工芸や伝統、
そして、それを支えてきた人々の歴史は
本当に貴重で、
素晴らしい『世界の一部』だと思います。

Six months have passed since the earthquake in Noto Peninsula.
Noto, is my spiritual home.

Not only for me, but Noto (known for its kind-heartedness even to its soil!) surely becomes a spiritual home for many who have visited.

Noto is a region in Japan known for its close connection to nature and its remote, hard-to-reach location.
In these scattered small communities, residents rely on mutual support. The culture, crafts, and traditions born from ingenuity in challenging natural conditions, along with the history of the people who have upheld them, are truly invaluable and remarkable treasures of the world.

輪島塗の美しいお皿に載っているのは、
パリ名物のクロワッサンです。
「まれ」に登場するキッチンウィッチ、
「魔女姫」が見守っています。

ドラマの中で私が演じた「まれちゃん」は、
漆の素晴らしさを世界に伝えたいと頑張っていました。
でも本編では、とうとうパリに行けなかった。
だから今回の旅で、
その夢を私が叶えたいと思いました。

軽くて美しい輪島塗。
パリでも、載せるもの全てを
魅力的にグレードアップしてくれました。

今日から7月。
日本はそろそろ、祭りの季節に入ります。
能登をはじめ震災と闘う地域にも
夏がやってきます。

どうか少しでも、
未来へと進む夏でありますよう。

がんばろう！という気持ちを伝える時、
能登の方言では「Ganbarumashi！」といいます。
がんばるまし！

On this beautiful Wajima-nuri lacquerware is a Parisian croissant, and the kitchen witch "Majo-hime" from "Mare" is watching over them.

In the drama, the character I played, Mare, worked hard to share the beauty of lacquerware with the world.
However, she never made it to Paris in the show. So on this trip, I wanted to fulfill that dream.

Wajima lacquerware is lightweight, beautiful, and even when packed tightly in my suitcase, it remained intact.
Even in Paris, this plate made everything it carried look remarkably appealing.
.
Today marks the start of July, and our country is entering the festival season. Summer is also coming to regions like Noto that are fighting against the disaster.
.
May this summer bring us even a small step closer to a better future.

When expressing encouragement in Noto dialect, we say "Ganbarumashi".
