We were invited to Jyakuan, Urasenke in the University of Hawaii.

We were truly impressed by their thoughtfulness in order to welcome and entertain us.

The “kakejiku” associated with the UH Kabuki production.

“Byoubu” decorated with the three colors of Kabuki.

The incense container in the shape of boar which is my Japanese zodiac sign.

Kintsuba, a type of Japanese confectionary was made of uva and Shaka formed “Higashi”.

As you see, there were lots of welcoming spirits that amazed us and thanks to their thoughtfulness, we could gain peaceful serenity.

I kept asking myself, “now, Is this Hawai’i?”

What a valuable experience!

Thank you everyone for your hospitality!
