今日は大徳寺へ















所によってはもう終わっていますが、ここはまだ紅葉が残っていて透明感のある深紅のもみじの彩りにため息が溢れます









あら、あぶり餅密かに楽しみにしてたのに定休日










大徳寺近くには父の時代から伺っているお漬物屋さん「大こう本店」










様々なお漬物を味見させていただき、どれを買おうかとしばらく悩んでしまいました









僕が東京に戻る日に着くよう手配してもらいました







お漬物の爽やかなお味は疲れを癒してくれますね






ハワイにも持って行きたいなぁ






そして帰り道横断歩道を走って渡っていくお坊さんをお見かけしました(写真はないのですが…)

To Daitokuji temple.


In most of the places, the fall colors of trees are over here.


But in Daitokuji, you can still enjoy the natural beauty of the season.


Deep red colored leaves are breathtakingly gorgeous!


Near the temple, there’s a Japanese pickle shop called “Daiko Honten” where my father used to visit.


They let you taste the various kinds of pickles with Japanese tea.


There were too many pickles and my wife and I were at a loss for a while.


I’m sure pickles heal our bodies and soul.


Wish I could take them to Hawaii.


On the way back, I saw a monk running and crossing the street. 


In Japanese, another way to say December is “Siwasu” meaning running monks because in old days many people ask monks to come to their houses to chant a sutra in the year end.


Yes, THIS IS “SIWASU”!
