I’m deeply saddened for the people of Maui.

Most of you may know that there was a wildfire burned west Maui, including Lahaina, the famous symbolic town of old Hawaii. Yes, it’s gone!

In a moment, more than 90 precious lives are lost, (the numbers of fatalities are rising), and tens of thousands of people are evacuating to the other islands for loosing their homes.

Gov. Josh Green said they need accommodations in the other islands for the refugees.

It is an island many Japanese people (including me)  loved and enjoyed.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all those affected by the disaster and pray for the quick recovery of the devastated area.

And may the refugees can find places to live.

Prayers for Maui.
