日本はもう3月11日ですね
被災なさった方々にとっては、一生癒えることがない傷を負われたことと思います
被災地にいなかった僕たちでさえ、あの光景は決して忘れることができない経験となりました
僕の住むマンションの目の前にあった広大な空き地は被災地から、逃げていらした方々の臨時駐車場となりました
少しずつ増えていく車の数を見る度、どれ程の恐怖の中、ここまで逃げていらしたのかと気が気でなりませんでした
今は有明ガーデンという大きなショッピングモールが建ち、あの時の光景を思い起こすものは一つもありません
今は最大8000人の観客を収容する大きな劇場や多くのお店が入り、大賑わいの施設になっています
皆少しずつあの日の恐怖も薄れてきているけれど、同時に私たちは日本に住む限り、Xデーに備えなければなりません
今日もハワイにいながら、日本で早朝起きた地震の警報が鳴り響きました
いつ来てもおかしくないと言われる大地震
あの教訓を生かして、少しでも被害を減らすよう努力しなければいけませんね

March 11th in Tokyo.
The disaster victims must have been deeply hurt that would never cure.
Even we, who were not in the area still can’t forget the catastrophic scenes we saw on TV that day.
Never!
Right next to our apartment, there was a huge empty lot and it became the parking lot for the victims escaped from the disaster area.
Day by day, the numbers of cars were increasing and it made me feel sorry for them, thinking of their feelings forced to evacuate their homelands.
It has become a shopping mall called Ariake Arena with the theater of the maximum capacity 8,000 audiences and thousands of people gather in the shopping mall area, as well.
Though the horrifying memories are vanishing a little by little, we need to get ready for the coming disasters as long as we live in Japan.
I was surprised by the earthquake alert of my cell phone was going off telling me an earthquake happened early morning in Japan today.
Huge earthquakes can occur at any time in Japan.
Learning from the past disasters, we need to get prepared to lessen the seismic damage.
