Harvest moon today.

We ordered special dumplings for moon viewing from a sweet shop in downtown Katsuura.

And because we couldn’t find susuki for decoration ( probably all sold out) at a supermarket, we decided to find and get some at roadside.

But as we drove down, it started to get dark and was not easy to find one.

Or even if we could find, it was not possible to stop in the middle of a road.

We ended up giving up susuki and stopped by a Seven Eleven to get something to eat.

Then there was a bucket full of susuki right in front of a parking lot we stopped the car.

And neighbors were there to pick some up.

Miracle!

We were so happy to be able to take several susuki home as well.

Had a wonderful moon viewing night.

Come to think of the ancient time without electricity, I can easily imagine how much they appreciated the moonlight.

We enjoyed the beautiful moon with appreciation for the nature and thinking of the people beyond the sky.
