本日早朝、千葉県勝浦市の土屋元市長が急逝されました
つい先月勝浦ふるさと大使の委嘱式でお会いしたばかりでした…
委嘱式の後、市長室で長い時間勝浦市としての今後の抱負など、たくさんの夢を語っていらしたのに、わずか一ヶ月余りで天に召されてしまうとは信じられません
失礼を承知で申し上げるなら、とてもかわいいお人柄の方でした
志半ばにして旅立たれたこと、さぞやご無念でいらしたことと存じます
ご遺族の皆様のお悲しみ如何許りかとご拝察申し上げます
これから皆様とご一緒に勝浦市を盛り立てて行こうと思っていた矢先のことで残念でなりません

The mayor of Katsuura, Chiba has passed away early this morning.
It was only a month ago I met him on the appointment ceremony of Katsuura Furusato Ambassador.
We had quite long conversation after the ceremony at his office and he told me about his many dreams how he wanted the city to be like.
This is unbelievable!
He was a man of pure will.
I am terribly sorry for his passing away without realizing his ambition.
My thoughts are with the family.
May he Rest In Peace!
