僕たちが子どもの頃には映画📽🎞を観に行くと、客席にアイスクリーム🍨、お煎餅🍘、キャラメル🍬などを売りに来ました
モナカは今のようにパリパリとしたものではなく、アイスクリーム自体が少し溶けかけていて、湿気を含んでしっとり、ちょっとだけのびるんです
最近のモナカアイスクリームは技術も進化し、パリパリのモナカの食感が楽しめる
のですが、どうにもあの映画館で食べる薄オレンジ色のモナカアイスクリームが懐かしくなる時があります
あのアイスクリームはもうどこにも売っていないのかなぁ

They used to sell “monaka ice creams”, rice crackers, and caramels in auditorium at movie theaters.
“Monaka ice cream” is an ice cream wrapped in soft wafers but the ones they used to sell there were something very special for us compared to the ones we have now.
The wafers were not as crispy as they are and ice creams were partly melted and it probably caused the wafers stale and a bit chewy.
Thanks to the advance of technology, I appreciate the wafers to be very crispy but at the same time, I miss the milky orange colored soft and stale wafers.
I wonder if I can still get such good ol’days monaka ice cream we ate at movie theaters.
