舞台裏に置いてあるぼんぼり
これを実際に使ったことのある方はあまりいらっしゃらないことでしょう
ぼんぼりの他に手燭🕯と言うぼんぼりの紙またや布製の覆いがないものも舞台では使います
ぼんぼりは違いますが、手燭🕯の灯り
は本当の炎です
実際の炎のゆらぎを感じさせるためか、子供のころ父がどこからか手燭🕯を手に入れてロウソクに火を灯し、そのゆらゆらと揺れる光と影を体験させてくれたことを思い出します
その光は頼りなくも暖かいもの
なのだと思ったことを覚えています

Paper lanterns called “bonbori” in the backstage.
Not too many people have used them, I guess.
Paper lanterns without paper or cloth cover are called “teshoku” (portable candle sticks) and use them also on stage.
Real flames are used for “teshoku” but not for “bonbori”.
I remember once my father showing flames of “teshoku” he had got from somewhere somehow to have me experience the light and shadow of the candle stick.
It was so flickering so transiently and warm.
