千葉県鴨川市からお米屋さんの作ったバウムクーヘンをいただきました
クッキー生地を使った外側はパリッと、鴨川市のブランド米である長狭米を使った中はしっとり
素朴な甘さとどことなく和の風味が口の中に広がります
長狭米はごく一部の地域でしか採れない鴨川市が誇るブランド米
地元の方が、この長狭米があればおかずなしでも何杯もお代わりできると言っていたのを聞いたことがあります

The outer layer using cookie dough is crispy and the inside made from Nagasa Mai (their special product) is moist and thick.
You can feel a dash of Japanese flavor in the simple mild sweetness.
Since it can be cropped only in such a limited area, that it makes Nagasa Mai as a super brand rice.
Someone told me he could eat a bowl of Nagasa Mai without any thing, such as pickled plums, veggies, or other side dishes.
