Since several days ago, a sign saying “Unagi” (marinated and grilled eel and rice) here and there.

We eat “Unagi” on the Midsummer Day of the Ox in Japan.

It’s quite tempting but really too much calories for me who’s on diet now.

No, no, no!

I’m not having it!

Instead, I bought an eclair which is nothing to do with the “unagi” I’m talking about but just a  shape.

Then again, I saw the sign.

No!

I swear not eating “unagi”.

Then I bought another sweet named “Unagi Inu” which is far cheaper than the real “unagi”…

But I’ve been yearning for the real “unagi”.

And it’s the Midsummer Day of the Ox today!

When I happened to see the sign at a department store, the game was over!

There’s no reason for not getting “unagi”.

I ended up buying a lunch box of “unagi” of “Miyagawa” in Tsukiji.

Miyagawa is everyone’s favorite because they deliver to the backstage of Kabukiza and Shinbashi Enbujyo.

They would also deliver to our home in Hamacho, Nihonbashi.

You can get their “unagi” at Matsuya Department store in Ginza.

How about getting one on the way back from the Kabukiza next month?

Anyway, I’ve taken in too much calories by now resisting to eat “unagi”.
