京都から夏を伝える贈り物

京都の表千家の茶家、久田家半床庵より夏のお便りが届きました

今年も京都の夏の風物詩、祇園祭の山鉾巡業は行われないようですが、厄除けのちまきを送ってくださいました

また祇園祭に欠かせない「したたり」というお菓子も送ってくださいました

冷蔵庫に入れて　今夜いただくのを楽しみにしています

そして妻が大好きなグリーンティー

京都を思い、いただきます

Received summer greeting box from Hisada Hanshoan in Kyoto.

According to Mrs. Hisada, the Yamahoko float procession of the Gion festival won’t be held again this year due to the COVID -19.

But besides my wife’s favorite “Green Tea”, she has sent me the good luck charm of the Gion festival and a Japanese sweet called “Sitatari” especially made for the festival.

I put it in a fridge to have it after dinner tonight.
