皆さまご存知のように6月は歌舞伎座の第三部「日蓮」に出演します
僕のお役は日本の天台宗の開祖である最澄
日蓮宗の開祖、日蓮はもともと天台宗の僧侶でした
天台宗の教えを下に新たに開いたものが日蓮宗
ということで、天台宗のお勉強中
想像を絶する千日回峰行など拝見すると信じる力が起こす奇跡であると思います
それにしても比叡山には何度となく行っていますが、最澄をやらせていただけるなんて、こんなご縁があるとは思ってもみませんでした

As you probably know, I’ll be playing the role of Saicho in “Nichiren” of June Grand Kabuki Part 3 at Kabukiza in June.
Saicho is the founder of the Tendai School in Japan.
Nichiren had been a monk of Tendai School and he founded Nichiren School later on.
I’m studying about Saicho and Tendai School to prepare for the stage.
No one can succeed in the ascetic practices such as Thousand-Day Circumambulation Practice without the power of believing which makes a miracle.
I’ve been to the Enryaku-Ji in the Mount Hiei so many times but never imagined I would play Saicho in Kabuki.
