綿菓子

お稽古終わりの疲れた身体に「綿菓子」

きなこと桃のフレーバー🍑

綿菓子と言えば、娘の大好物

もうずいぶんと昔、妻によるとスーパーマーケットのゲームコーナーにあった綿菓子メーカーの前で幼い娘に綿菓子をねだられたそう

割り箸で少しずつ飛び出してくる綿菓子を巻き付けていく作業、お祭りの屋台のおじさんは簡単そうにやっていたけど、実は結構大変なんです

僕も良くやると手首に巻きついたりしちゃって

妻も勇気を出してかわいい娘👧🏻のためにチャレンジ

チャリンとお金を入れたら、心の準備もできていないうちに次々にふわふわと飛び出してくる綿菓子

焦って割り箸を振り回すけど空回り

割り箸に巻き付き損なった綿菓子は宙を舞い

娘の手前、かっこよく作ろうとすればするほど綿菓子は次々と宙を舞い続け、悪戦苦闘する妻

流石に幼い娘👧🏻が見てもただごとではないことがわかったらしく

「ママぁ、だいじょうぶぅ？」👧🏻

言われれば言われるほど焦って宙に舞う綿菓子を巻きつけようと割り箸を振りまわしている間に機械からは無常にまた新たな固まりが飛び出して

すると突然1回分の放出が終わり

気づいたら手にはほとんど何もついていない割り箸…

我に帰ったら、まるで蜘蛛の巣🕸にかかったように自分の前髪と洋服は綿菓子まみれ

だったそう

今でも時々思い出しては笑ってます

Cotton candy for after rehearsal.

Kinako and peach flavors.

It was and still is my daughter’s one of her favoritesweets.

Long time ago, my wife was asked one by our daughter when they passed in front of the cotton candy machine at a shopping center.

I would often watched a food stall vendor in a festival making cotton candies.

The way how they make candies looks easy but this isn’t.

You often end up with candies stuck around your wrist.

As for my wife, it was her first time to make it and needed a tremendous courage to challenge but she did it just for her little daughter.

Before she’s ready, after inserting a coin, the machine suddenly started spouting floc of sugar.

Panicked, she swung a stick around to try to catchthe flocs in the air.

The more she tried, the worse the situation became.

While she tried to catch, another floc spouted fromthe machine.

Although my daughter was still a little, she could recognize the horrible situation her mother caused and she asked,

“Mommy, are you alright?”

But there was nothing they could do anymore and the machine kept spotting flocs of sugar to the air.

Then it suddenly stopped. 

And they found a stick without cotton candy in my wife’s hand.

Most of the cotton candy had gone to the air and the rest in her hair and dress as if she got caught in a spider web.

Hilarious story.
