昨日訪れた誕生寺からもう少し鴨川寄りの山の上には千二百年の歴史を持つ清澄寺があります
日蓮聖人はこの地で始めて「南無妙法蓮華経」のお題目を唱えられ立教開宗されたそうです
境内には「千年杉」と呼ばれるとても大きな杉が歴史を物語っています

On the mountain top of Kominato, a bit Kamogawa side from Tanjyoo Ji temple I visited yesterday, there’s Seicho Ji temple of the history of 1,200 years.
Born in Kominato and reciting Nichiren Chant for the first time there, Nichiren founded one of the Buddhist sect called Nichiren Shu.
The huge cedar in this temple called “Sennennsugi” meaning a thousand years cedar tells us its long history.
