My wife and daughter came back from shopping with “Warabi mochi” powder, saying “Can you make Warabi mochi for us”?

I thought it’s too much hassle but when I read it’s recipe, found out it’s incredibly simple.

After blending sugar and water, heat it till the starch got like jelly.

Then just cool it.

Done!

We enjoyed it with the green tea the Hanshoan in Kyoto sent me the other day.

I’m not in a situation to spend gracious time now but I dare to be elegant this afternoon.
