I am awfully sorry to announce that because of the COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the Kabuki Project I’ve been planning with Dr. Julie Iezzi of Theater and Dance Department a year.

Here are two main reasons to be postponed.

Due to the virus, they locked down the state and the massive scale of economic recession has hit the State of Hawaii who is making tourism to be its main industry.

The university is suffering a steep recession because it is managed by the state itself.

Another reason to be taken seriously is “social distance”.

It’s impossible to teach and produce Kabuki by keeping social distances.

No matter how hard the situation will be, we will try to support students and the faculty who love Kabuki in Hawaii.

It’s good to know we have another year to prepare for it.

Thank you for your continuous support.
