果たして歌舞伎というものをどこまで理解してくれるのだろうか… 
毎日4時間の集中講義で体力が持つのだろうか
と不安でしたが、皆に会ってみてびっくり
とっても熱心で、積極的
飲み込みも早く誰一人として疲れた、とかできないとか音をあげたりしない
貴重な休憩時間も休むよりお稽古をしている

授業の終わりにはぎこちないながらも浴衣を自分たちでたたみ、「ありがとうございました」
と元気に帰って行きました

I have started teaching Kabuki at Summer Workshop at University of Hawaii today.
I had worried what if students would not understand the world of Kabuki ...
if not they cannot bear 4hours intensive class...
But I worried too much.
They are all positive and eager to learn.
No one said “tired” or “no, I can’t do that”.
They even dared not to take a break and would rather practice, instead.
After the class, all of them folded their yukatas by themselves and left classroom saying “ARIGATO GOZAIMASITA”.
I’m the one who got a lot of energy and motivation from them.
