口上その3

先日の口上でご披露したお話を公開しますね  

１９８５年、猿翁兄さん  の二ヵ月に渡る欧州公演  でのこと

イタリア のレストラン で何故か「歌を唄え！」 という事になり 

皆ちょっと困っている と機転者で歌の上手な  新右團次さん  が自ら買って出たのです 

   日本の草津民謡 ♨️ の「草津良いとこ一度はおいで」 の歌詞を、イタリア民謡「サンタルチア」 のメロディー  に乗せて見事に唄い上げ   現地の方々に大いに喜ばれたことがありました 

こうやって若い頃のお話を思い出していると、いろんなことが蘇って来ますね

Let me tell you the story I said on the speech the other day.

It was back in 1985, when we had been on tour around Europe with Enoo san for two months.

I don't remember how did it start but someone started asking us to sing a song while enjoying beautiful Italian dinner.

Udanji san volunteered to sing an Italian song "Santa Lucia" with Japanese folkloric lyrics.

This made local people so satisfied.

Well, as I look back over the past, so many memories of good things and bad things coming back to my mind quite vividly.
