七草粥

今日は七草ですね 

ということで今日は朝食は七草粥でした 

子どもの頃はあまり好きではありませんでしたが、今では結構好きです 

我が家では春の七草を復唱しながら  七草粥をいただきます 

我が家の七草粥は葛餡をかけています 

It's Nanakusa meaning the seven spring herbs today in Japan.

We eat  Nanakusa Gayu: rice porridge with seven different kinds of spring herbs on the day of Nanakusa to pray for safety of the family and state of perfect health over the year.

So, we have had Nanakusa Gayu this morning.

I didn't like it when I was a kid, but I love it now.

At home, we eat the rice porridge as repeating the names of the seven herbs.

The photo is the rice porridge "à la maison".

We eat it with kudzu starch sauce with a taste of soba sauce.

Yum, yum!
