Props

Hi!

Finished matinee and back from the theater Kabukiza. 

During the performance, an actor happened to kicked a cup and it cracked into pieces, yesterday. Needless to say, the cup was used as a prop in the play. However, it was one of the personal belongings of another actor which was made in the Edo period back to about 300 years ago. 

Surprisingly, as you see now, some actors use our own belongings when we don't like the props prepared by property man.

Although it's not easy to tell, try to see not only actors but also props closely when you see Kabuki!
