9月17日の野外作業 Field work on September 17

私はこの3日間で、風倒木の小枝や葉を車に満載して４回運んだ

広場は、ほぼ元の広さに戻った

I carried the twigs and leaves of wind fallen trees in the car in the past three days and carried it four times

４回目の運搬中、雨が降ってきた

夕方、小雨の中、車から枝を畑に降ろした

枝葉の量は、約10㎡のかぶと虫牧場に相応しい

日没までの間、堆肥化中の浅い部分をかき混ぜた

すると湯気が立ち上り、いい発酵臭がした

風倒木の小枝を束ねて搬出することにした

小枝は太い麻ひもで束ねた

作業前に手袋を紛失していることに気づいた

怪我することを予感したが、時間を優先し、素手で作業した

そしてやはり、少し怪我をした

それは無理だよ

約半量を運搬した

畑に置くと、小枝は少しの量に見える

残りの小枝を明日運搬できるといいな

台風21号による風倒木

橋本市民はここの大きな木を何本も失い、風景が変化してしまった

扱いやすい長さに切り、片付けが進められている

Cut it to easy-to-handle length, cleanup is proceeding

主に葉の付いた小枝をもらって来た

畑に運んでみると、僅かこれだけ

また貰いに行きたい

風倒木の処分は業者に委託するそうだ

木をみすみすごみにしたくない

この小枝は、かぶと虫の幼虫に分解してもらい、堆肥にしたい

I want this twig to be decomposed by the beetle larva and make it compost

堆肥を畑に使おうと思ったら、かぶと虫の幼虫が出てきた

どの幼虫も体が小さい

親の世代がこの堆肥で育ったので、幼虫の養分があまり残っていないのだろう

見つけた幼虫は、今年作った新しい堆肥に移動した

When trying to use compost as a field, the beetle larvae came out

The found larvae moved to the new compost we made this year

堆肥をふるって未分解の小枝やごみを除去し、畑に運ぶ

まず、刈り草を集め、合鴨たちにあげた

自家製コンポストを撒いたら、たくさんのトンボがやって来た

畑の草を刈り、ここに積み重ねた

ここに玉ねぎを栽培する準備をしていた

玉ねぎを、約15cm間隔で定植した

表面に堆肥を薄く撒いておいた

I planted onion at about 15 cm intervals

I spread the compost thinly on the surface

庭のペットボトル栽培の玉ねぎが消えた

消えたのは、これで２個目だ

もらってきた壁土で、道の凹みを平らにした

凹みはまだまだあちこちにある

来月、道の陥没箇所の補修工事が始まるそうだ
