落ちこぼれ対策ばかりの教育にNO！「浮きこぼれ」を救う、地方塾
の挑戦
以前は売り上げ重視で、申し込みがあれば誰でも受け入れていた。
しかし、２０年くらい前から状況が一変した。モンスターペアレン
トが登場してきて、生徒に厳しいアドバイスはできず腫れ物に触る
扱いをせざるをえなくなった。
塾だけではない。今やどこの学校でも生徒を厳しく指導できない。
ちょっとでも厳しく指導すると親だけでなく世間からも非難される。
学校では、躾の指導など出来ずに家庭任せとなる。部活で先輩から
躾の指導はされるが、入っていなければ習わないまま。
結局、躾がなってないまま会社で指導することになる。パートテ
ロ、アルバイトテロが発生するのは当然の帰結。生活指導が出来な
い家庭や学校に文句を言っても仕方がない。そんなパート、アルバ
イトを採用した人事に文句を言うしかない。
基本的生活習慣や常識が崩壊している子に、受験指導ができるわ
けがない。だから、当塾では「強制退塾制度」」をとって周囲の真
面目な子の勉学の邪魔をし続ける子は塾をやめてもらってきた。も
ちろん、周囲の反発や売り上げ減少は覚悟の上。
しかし、売り上げは減少しなかった。他塾で困っていた成績優秀
な子たちが当塾の強制退塾の制度を聞きつけて避難してきたのです。
学校や世間は“落ちこぼれ”対策ばかりに目を向けて“浮きこぼれ”
対策をちっともしてくれないからです。
この地区で言うと、学年で数人しか合格しない四日市高校受験生
は自分で対策を行うしかありません。京大、阪大、名大、国立大医
学部をめざす受験生も自分で対策を行うしかありません。
しかし、地方には京大、阪大、名大、国立大医学部をめざす受験
生を指導できる教師や講師はほとんどいません。だから、Z会のよう
な通信添削を利用したり東進のビデオ授業に頼るしかありませんで
した。
ところが、ネット社会が広がり河合塾、駿台、東進といった都会
の大規模予備校の講師の経歴が知られるようになると
「私は京大医学部を受験するけど、あの先生で本当に合格できるの
？」
という生徒が増えてきました。それが、私のような田舎の無名塾
の講師に英作文の依頼が多く舞い込む理由です。
今年（2024年）は京大医学部に２名合格しました。昨年は阪大医
学部に３名合格でした。
They used to be sales oriented and would accept anyone who applied. However, the

their seniors, but if they are not in the club, they never learn it.
In the end, they will be taught in the company without any discipline. It is a
natural consequence that part time and part time job terrorism occurs. There is no
point in complaining about families or schools that cannot provide lifestyle
guidance. We have no choice but to complain to the personnel who hire such
part-timers and part-timers.
There is no way that a child whose basic lifestyle and common sense have
collapsed can be taught to take an entrance examination. That is why we have a
"forced withdrawal system" and ask students to leave the school if they continue
to interfere with the studies of other serious students around them. Of course,
we were prepared for the backlash from others and a decrease in sales.
However, sales did not decrease. The children with excellent grades who had
been in trouble at other cram schools heard about our system of forced withdrawal
and took refuge there. This is because schools and the public focus only on
measures for "dropouts" and do nothing about measures for "up-and-comers.
In this area, Yokkaichi High School students, only a few of whom pass the
entrance exam, have no choice but to prepare for the exam by themselves.
Students aiming to enter Kyoto University, Osaka University, Nagoya University,
or a national university's medical school also have no choice but to prepare
by themselves.
However, there are few teachers and lecturers in the local area who can guide
students who wish to enter Kyoto University, Osaka University, Nagoya
University, and National University Medical Schools. Therefore, they had no
choice but to rely on correspondence correction services such as Z-kai or video
lessons provided by Tojin.
However, as the Internet society spread and the backgrounds of instructors
at large urban preparatory schools such as Kawaijuku, Sundai, and Tojin became
known, many students started to ask questions to their instructors.
I'm going to take the Kyoto University medical school entrance exam, but can I
really pass the exam with that teacher?
The number of students who said, "I'm going to take the Kyoto University
medical school entrance exam. This is the reason why many requests for English
composition are coming in to a no-name cram school instructor in a rural area
like myself.
This year (2024), two students passed the Kyoto University School of Medicine.
Last year, three students were accepted to Osaka University's Faculty of Medicine.
