広大な京都御苑の敷地内には、神社が３つあります。
興味深いのは、どこも女神がまつられていること。
In the Khyoto Imperial Park there are three shrines on extensive primise.
そのうちの１つ、「白雲（しらくも）神社」。
別名「御所の弁天さん」だそうです。
One of the shrines is "Shirakumo Shrine".
Another name is "Sarasvati of the Kyoto Imperial Palace".
ご祭神は「市杵島姫命（いちきしまひめのみこと）」。
「妙音弁財天」とも呼ばれています。
This shrine is dedicated to "Ichikishima hime no mikoto",
or "Myouon benzaiten".
この土地はもともと、琵琶の宗家である「西園寺家」が
あった場所。
Historically, there was a palace of "the Saionji family".
The Saionji were head family of "Biwa", traditional Japanese
stringed instrument.
1224年に、西園寺公経が今の金閣寺の場所に
別荘をつくり、そこに音楽の神様、
妙音弁財天をまつったのが始まりだそうです。
In 1224, Kimitsune Saionji had a country House
in the west side of Kyoto, which is now
Kinkakuji temple, and he dedicated a shrine to
"Myouon benzaiten".
今の場所へは1769年に移転したという、
歴史のある神社です。
In 1769, the shrine moved to the Kyoto Imperial Park.
狛犬さんたちにごあいさつ。
I said hello to "Komainu".
They are gurding the gate.
繊細なエネルギーが漂っています。
I felt subtle energy around there.
