でもモンクに関しては 常時ベスト3 それくらい好き 肌が合う（笑）
『ブルー・モンク』は『ストレイト・ノー・チェイサー』『ラウンド・ミッドナイト』と並ぶ名曲
僕がJazzに夢中になった高校生の頃 DVDはおろかレーザー・デイスクもビデオ・テープだって無かったような気がする そもそもTVとかでJazz演奏なんてほとんど無かった
だから今こうしてYouTubeで古いJazzのビデオ？ 幸せですホント

ヴォーカルに関しては あまりレパートリーにする歌手はいないです 今日ご紹介する アビー・リンカーンという歌手が詞を付けました 彼女は黒人運動の闘士でもありました かなり先進的で知的な女性 ビリーホリデイの遺作「レフト・アローン」に詞をつけたのも彼女・・・
他にはモンクのマブダチのカーメン・マクレーとか大好きなカーリン・クロッグとか
