(For my practice for English examination and this might be not my honest opinion.)
Q: If you could study a subject that you never had the opportunity to study, what would you choose?
Since I am a professional composer, I have been devoted myself to music which I have loved so much for more than thirty years. However, if I could choose a subject which I have never studied, I would choose psychiatric for the following two reasons.
To begin with, I really want to know myself and specifically, my sensitive personality. For instance, when I was an elementary student, my teachers often said to me and my parent that this boy was a very sensitive. Actually, I was really shy and often cried easily at that time. Even now, I often care about what other people around me say to me too much and it sometimes affects my mental health seriously and badly. No matter what I did, I sometimes couldn't escape from this negative feeling. On the other hand, this sensitive mind may help my occupation as a musician because I love to write beautiful melodies. Anyway, I really want to know the inner system of my personality because if I can understand myself well, I will manage the sensitive mind positively. As a result, the quality of my life will become better.
Second, I want to study about the conflicts between people. For example, nowadays, we often see the news about a war between Ukraine and Russia every day on TV. In spite of a huge disagreement from people around the world, Russia has been continuing their invasion to Ukraine. I believe that by studying psychiatric, I can understand what happens in people's mind in this case because all actions are related to their state of mind. I hope that by searching for the reason for conflicts or war, our world becomes more peaceful.
To sum up, I am really interested in my sensitive personality and the reason why people have many conflicts each other including wars, I would study psychiatric if I could choose.
