『空手の未来を紡ぐ情熱の物語』
〜宮城長順先生と渡口先生の絆〜
戦後の那覇市、開南の小さな電気店。
そこに頻繁に足を運ぶ一人の男がいた。空手の巨匠、宮城長順氏だ。病に侵されながらも店主の渡口先生と熱心に語り合う姿があった。
二人の会話は、空手の未来を描くものだった。
宮城先生の頭の中には、新たな型のビジョンが広がっていた。
普及型の「撃砕シリーズ」、そして「撃破」「鶴破」の創作理論。
これらは、空手界に新風を吹き込む革新的なアイデアだった。
渡口先生の奥様は、当時の思い出を懐かしく語ってくれた。
そして後に、渡口先生は「撃砕第三」を発表する。
宮城先生の遺志を継ぐかのように、批判を恐れず新しい型を世に送り出したのだ。
今、尚禮舘空手では、これらの型を体系的に学ぶことができる。
時代は流れても、先人たちの情熱は型の中に生き続ける。
伝統を守り、次世代へ伝えていく。
それが、現代を生きる我々の使命なのかもしれない。

"A Passionate Tale of Shaping Karate's Future"
- The Bond between Master Chojun Miyagi and Sensei Toguchi -
In post-war Naha City, at a small electrical shop in Kainan, a man frequently visited. It was karate master Chojun Miyagi. Despite his illness, he would engage in passionate discussions with the shop owner, Sensei Toguchi.
Their conversations painted the future of karate. Master Miyagi's mind was filled with visions of new kata. The "Gekisai series" for popularization, and the creative theories behind "Gekiha" and "Kakuha" were revolutionary ideas set to bring fresh air to the karate world. Sensei Toguchi's wife fondly recalled those memories.
Later, Sensei Toguchi introduced "Gekisai San." As if carrying on Master Miyagi's will, he fearlessly presented a new kata to the world.
Today, at Shoreikan Karate, one can systematically learn these kata.
Though times change, the passion of our predecessors lives on in these kata. Preserving tradition and passing it on to the next generation - this might be our mission in the modern era
