This is Pippi came from “Zoorashia” in Yokohama. この子は、横浜の「ズーラシア」から来た「ピッピ」ちゃんです。
"Kasein" moved to "Zoorasia" from "Ueno zoo" for breeding program, and Pippi came in Kasein's stead from "Zoorasia" to "Ueno zoo". 「カセイン」が、繁殖計画の為に、「上野動物園」から「ズーラシア」に移動になって、ピッピは、カセインの代わりにズーラシアから上野に来たです。
She was called "Okapippi" from the children who were coming to the Ueno zoo. 彼女は、上野動物園に来てた子供たちから「オカピッピ」って呼ばれてたです。
Actually, another name Okapi is known by is "Laday in the forest". ホントは、オカピの別名は「森の貴婦人」です。
Okapi is one of "The big three rare animals in the world (the major 3 kinds of rare animals in the world)". オカピは、「世界3大珍獣」のひとつです。
"The big three rare animals in the world" are Okapi, 世界3大珍獣は、オカピと
Pygmy hippopotamus, コビトカバと
and Giant Panda. ジャイアントパンダです。
When "Bongo" was added to them, it become a "The big four rare animals in the world" ここに、ボンゴが加わると「世界４大珍獣」になるです。
The Okapi was discovered in 1901. オカピは、１９０１年に発見されたです。
They have a stripe on feet, so people thought that Okapi must be the relative of the zebra. 彼らは、あんよにシマシマがあるから、シマウマの仲間だと思われたです。
Because first, people relegated them into the “Perissodactyla”. だから、最初は「奇蹄目」に分類されたです。
But after, people found that they aren’t “Perissodactyla”,and are the relatives of the giraffe. でも、その後、「奇蹄目」でなくて、キリンの仲間だってわかったです。
Because, people relegated them into “Artiodactyla”, in 1902. それで、１９０２年に、「偶蹄目」に分類されたです。
