This is an illustrated book that is a very romantic story.
これは、すっごくロマンチックな絵本です。
I think that maybe this book will be fun for children and adults.
たぶん、子供から大人まで楽しめると思うです。
It was written by “Yoko Sano”.
「佐野洋子」さんの作品です。
Once, there was a cat who had beautiful stripes.
あるところに、キレイなシマシマのネコがいたです。
He died one million times, and he came to life one million times.
かれは、百万回死んで、百万回生きたです。
The death was not important for him.
彼にとって、死は、重要じゃなかったです。
He had many owners who loved him very much.
彼には、彼を溺愛してる、たくさんの飼い主さんがいたです。
When he died, they were so sad and cried.
彼が儚くなったとき、飼い主さん達は、とても悲しんで泣いたです。
But he hated all his owners, so he never cried.
でも、彼は飼い主さん達の事が嫌いだったから、泣かなかったです。
His owners were various people.
飼い主さん達は、いろんな人たちだったです。
For example, kings, sailors, magicians, etc…
たとえば、王様だったり、船乗りだったり、手品師だったり…。
When he came to life the millionth time, he was a stray cat who was very good looking.
百万回目に生まれ変わったとき、彼はイケメンの野良猫だったです。
Beautiful ladies loved him (of course cat ladies).
キレイな女の子たちが、彼を愛したです (もちろん猫の女の子です)。
They showered him with gifts, to get his love.
彼女たちは、彼に愛されたくて、プレゼントの雨を降らせたです。
But he didn’t like any of them.
でも、彼は、彼女たちの誰も好きじゃなかったです。
He liked himself more than anybody.
彼は、他の誰よりも、自分のことが好きだったです。
But one day, he had met one beautiful white cat who didn’t try to flatter him.
でも、ある日、彼は、彼のご機嫌取りをしない、めちゃめちゃキレイな白猫さんに出会ったです。
He tried to get her interest, did his best.
彼は、彼女の気をひこうと、一生懸命に頑張ったです。
Unnoticed, he fell in love with her.
彼は、いつの間にか、彼女の虜になってたです。
He asked her “Can I be with you?”.
彼は、彼女に「そばに いても いいかい」って聞いたです。
She answered “Yes”.
彼女は「ええ」って答えたです。
Then he was always with her.
彼は、いつも彼女と一緒だったです。
They were very close, and then they had a lot of kittens.
彼らはとても仲良しで、たくさんの子猫が生まれたです。
After a while, their kittens had grown up and left their nest, and she grew a little older.
やがて、彼らの子供たちは成長して巣立っていき、彼女は少し年を取ったです。
He thought “I want to live with her forever”.
彼は「いつまでも彼女と一緒にいたい」と思ったです。
But one day, the white cat was gone beside him, quietly.
でも、ある日、白猫は、彼の傍らで、静かに儚くなったです。
He was so sad and cried.
彼は、とても悲しんで泣きまくったです。
It was the first time, for him.
それは、彼にとって、初めてのことだったです。
He cried one million times, day and night.
彼は、昼も夜も、百万回泣いたです。
And one day, he stopped crying, and he didn't move beside the white cat.
そしてある日、彼は泣きやんで、白猫の傍らで動かなくなったです。
He never came to life again.
彼は、二度と生き返らなかったです。
If I was a man, and if I have a girl friend, and if I think I will propose her, then I will present this book for her.
もし、あたしが♂で、もし彼女がいて、もし、彼女にプロポーズしたいって思ったら、あたしは、彼女にこの本をプレゼントするです。
