彼らは、とっても面白くて、人懐っこくて、おとなしいです。
So, there are also some zoos which let us hold them in our arms.
だから、彼らを抱っこさせてくれる動物園もあるです。

ところで、彼らが、フトアゴヒゲトカゲ」って、呼ばれてる理由は、以下の通りです。
They have a lot of prickly scales, and when they get hot, they change their throat’s color to black and they threaten others.
彼らは、トゲトゲの鱗があるですけど、興奮すると、喉の色が黒くなって威嚇するです。
And, it looks like a thick beard, so they came to be called "bearded dragon".
でもって、それが、太いアゴヒゲみたく見えるから「フトアゴヒゲトカゲ」って呼ばれるようになったです。
This is the year of the dragon, according to the Chinese zodiac.
今年は、十二支の「辰年」です。
“辰” is called “dragon” in English.
「辰」は英語で「ドラゴン」です。
And “dragon” is called “トカゲ” in Japanese.
