Ayame & Mitsugu. アヤメちゃんとミツグちゃん

There are two “Oriental small-clawed otter” at the “Hamamatsu city zoo”.
浜松動物園には、「コツメカワウソ」さんが、ふたっついるです。

They are Ayame and Mitsugu.
「アヤメ」ちゃんと、「ミツグ」ちゃんです。

Oriental small-clawed otters have the scent gland at the base of their tail, and use it for declaration of territory.
コツメカワウソさん達は、しっぽの付け根に臭腺があって、それを縄張りを主張する為に使うです。

They are semi-aquatic animal who have webs and are good at swim, but are weasel family.
彼らは、手に水かきのある、半水生動物ですけど、イタチの仲間です。

The main features of weasel families are that they have a slender body, have short feet, and have a pointed muzzle.
イタチの仲間の特徴は、スリムな体と、短い四肢と、尖ったお顔です。

They can close their nose hole and ear hole, in the water.
彼らは、水中で、耳の穴と鼻の穴を閉じられるです。

Ayame is a girl who was born in German on February 2008.
アヤメちゃんは、２００８年2月にドイツで生まれた女の子です。

She is a curious big eater, and sometimes she steal Mitsugu’s meals.
彼女は、好奇心旺盛の食いしん坊で、ミツグちゃんのごはんを、時々横取りしてるです。

So, she is a little bigger than Mitsugu.
だから、ミツグくんより、ちょと大きいです。

Mitsugu was born in “Higashiyama zoo” on June 18th 2008.
ミツグちゃんは、2008年6月18東山動物園生まれ。

Mitsugu had always given a lot of gifts to Ayame when Mitsugu first came to “Hamamatsu city zoo”, so I heard she is named “Mitsugu”.
浜松市動物園に来たばっかの頃、アヤメちゃんに、貢いでばっかいたから、「ミツグ」って名前になったそうです。

Mitsugu is a smaller than Ayame, and has cute pink nose.
ミツグちゃんは、アヤメちゃんより小さくて、お鼻が、ピンクです。

They are very close, and are always together.
彼らは、とっても仲良しで、いつも一緒です。




Were you able to see the beautiful air bubbles lines which were drawn after they swam?
彼らが泳いだ後に描かれた、気泡の流線を見られたかしら?

So sad thing. とても哀しいこと。

I had a dream on the first day of New Year's.
元日に、夢を見たです。

I was hunter, in my dream.
夢の中で、あたしは狩人だったです。

I was setting a trap, in the deep dark forest.
深い暗い森の中で、罠をしかけてたです。

It was "Torabasami", is a so brutal trap.
それは、「とらばさみ」、とても残虐な罠です。

I set the trap to catch a human.
あたしは、人間を捕えるために、その罠を仕掛けたです。

when I waked up, I didn't know why I had such a dream, but I thought I'm a barbarian.
目が覚めたとき、自分が何故そんな夢をみたのかわかんなかったですけど、あたしは、あたしを野蛮人だと思ったです。




I watched a piece of news on TV, today.
今日、テレビでニュースを見たです。

Japanese monkeys were attacked by someone, in "Fukuchiyama zoo".
「福知山動物園」のニホンザルさん達の放飼場が襲撃されたです。

Someone threw burning fireworks in the monkey area, in this early morning still dark.
まだ暗い早朝、誰かが、サル山に、火のついた花火を放り込んだです。

Some monkeys got burned.
何頭かのおサルさんが火傷を負ったです。

This is a so sad thing.
これは、とても哀しいこと。

Human beings are intelligent.
人間には、知性があるです。

It becomes good or evil, by our how to use the fire.
火は、我々の使い方で、善にも、悪にもなるです。



I thought I want to set the Torabasami to catch madmen who caused injury to monkeys.
あたしは、おサルさん達を傷つけた馬鹿者共を捕えるために、トラバサミを仕掛けたいと思ったです。

Because, I'm a barbarian.
あたしは、野蛮人だから。

Peek-a-boo. いないいないばぁ～♪

They are "Barn Owls" in "Inokashira park zoo".
この子達は、「井の頭自然文化園」の「メンフクロウ」さん達です。

They have heart-shaped face and it's so cute.
ハート型のお顔で、とっても可愛いです。






This is "Spotted Wood Owl" in "Saitama children's zoo".
この子は、「埼玉こども動物自然公園」の「マレーモリフクロウ」さんです。

Spotted Wood Owls' pupils are big and jet-black, and is so beautiful.
マレーモリフクロウさんの瞳は、大きくて、真っ黒で、すっごくキレイです。

This is "Barred Eagle Owls" in "Ueno zoo".
この子は、「恩賜上野動物公園」の「マレーワシミミズク」さんです。

Barred Eagle Owls' pupils also are big and jet-black, and is so beautiful.
マレーワシミミズクさんの瞳も、大きくて、真っ黒で、すっごくキレイです。





Do you know the big difference from "Owls" and "Horned Owls"?
「フクロウ」さんと、「ミミズク」さんの、大きな違いをご存じですか?

Almost all "Horned owls" have prominent ear tufts on both side of their head but almost all "Owls" don't have it.
ほとんどの「ミミズク」さんは、頭の上の両側に「羽角」があるですけど、ほとんどの「フクロウ」さんにはないです。

But Horned Owls are a kind of the Owls.
でも、ミミズクさんは、フクロウさんの一種です。

They can turn their head 270 degree instead of can't move their eye balls.
彼らは、眼球は動かせない代わりに、頭を270度動かせるです。

I think it's like a "peek-a-boo", when I see that they turn their head.
彼らが頭をぐるぐるしてるのを見ると、「いないいないばぁ～」みたいだなって思うです。
