Sad news. 哀しい知らせ。

Today, I knew that mom snowy owl passed away due to sickness on the 21 of this month.
今日、シロフクロウのママが、今月の21日に儚くなったことを知ったです。

Mom died, so her chicks also passed away.
ママが儚くなってしまったので、赤ちゃんたちも、ダメだったです。

But only one chick survived and a veterinarian in “Tama zoological park” takes care of the chick snowy owl.
でも、一羽だけ助かって、多摩動物公園の獣医さんがお世話してくれてるです。

I really strongly hope the chick will grow up.
その子が、育ってくれることを、ホントに、強く願うです。



She was a benevolent very good mother and was the most beautiful female snowy owl I’ve ever met.
彼女は、慈愛に満ちた、とっても良いお母さんで、あたしが今まで会ったことのある中で、最も美しい女の子のシロフクロウさんだったです。

I'm in my deep sorrow, and am quite upset, now.
今、物凄く哀しくて、動揺してるです。

I'm too sad, and I don't know what to do.
哀しすぎて、どうしていいのか、わかんないです。

Sometime, if my mind would calm down then I might write about their memories.
いつか、心が落ち着いたら、彼らの思い出について書くかもしれないです。

But, now, I only do pray that she and her chicks' soul rest in peace.
でも、今は、ただ、彼女と彼女の赤ちゃん達の魂が安らかであることを祈るです。

I realized my mistake about previous report and corrected that, just now.
前回の記事が間違ってるのに、たった今、気付いたです


I wrote that "He is the oldest Asian elephant in Japan", but it was not correct.
「彼は、日本最高齢のアジアゾウです」って書いたですけど、間違いです。

I corrected it to "He is the oldest male Asian Elephant in Japan".
正しくは「彼は、日本最高齢の♂のアジアゾウです」です。

I sincerely apologize for my mistake.
ホントにごめんなさいです。m(_ _)m



By the way, the oldest Asian Elephant is female.
ところで、日本最高齢のアジアゾウは、女の子です。

It is "Hanako" in "Inokashira zoo", and is 65 years old.
それは、「井の頭自然文化園」の「はな子」さんで、65才です。

これは、去年録画したはな子さんのビデオです。

I found there was a sparrow into in a certain hole.
あたしは、ある穴の中に、スズメさんがいるのを見つけたです。

ここは、どこだと思うですか?

スズメさんが、どこにいたか、わかったですか?

Yeah, this is an exhibit area for Asian elephant in "Tama Zoological Park".
そーです、ここは「多摩動物公園」のアジアゾウの放飼場です。



He is "Anura" the Sri Lankan Elephant in "Tama Zoological Park".
彼は、「多摩動物公園」の、スリランカゾウの「アヌーラ」です。

Once, he got very sick.
かつて、彼は、とても重い病気になったです。

He was about to fall due to his illness.
彼は、病気のために、今にも倒れそうだったです。



Those days, he had lived together with "Takako" and "Gachako".
その頃、彼は、「タカコ」ちゃんと、「ガチャコ」ちゃんと、一緒に住んでたです。

They were very close.
彼らは、とっても仲良しだったです。

The elephants are very sensitive and smart.
ゾウさんは、とても繊細で、賢いです。

Takako and Gachako felt a sense of crisis about Anura.
タカコとガチャコは、アヌーラに危機感を感じたです。

Day after day, Takako and Gachako continued supporting from his both sides to keep from falling.
来る日も、来る日も、タカコとガチャコは、彼が倒れないように、彼の両側から支え続けたです。

Several weeks later, he got well again.
数週間後、彼は、元気を取り戻したです。



This is a real story.
これは、ホントにあったお話です。

And the story is published with a title of "Elephants who helped a friend".
そして、このお話は、「ともだちをたすけたゾウたち」という本になってるです。

Takako and Gachako already passed away.
タカコちゃんもガチャコちゃんも、もう、いません。

But Anura who was helped from Takako and Gachako, is very　fine today.
だけど、タカコちゃんとガチャコちゃんに助けられたアヌーラは、今日も、とっても元気です。

He is 58 years old, and is the oldest male Asian elephant in Japan.
彼は、現在、58才で、日本最高齢の♂のアジアゾウです。
