Your school has received a gift of money. What do you think is the best way for your school to spend this money? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.
Some people might insist that the money received from someone for gift should be used in refurbishing classrooms, gyms and libraries. However I personally believe that it is the most effective for school to use gifted money for purchasing or upgrading information technologies for the following reasons.
First, using information technologies is necessary for current people even though they are students in elementary schools. For example, now even elementary school's students have enough skill to use an internet or a cell phone. They might be able to use e-mail if they are not taught how to use one by school teacher. Their information technology skill might be beyond adult's expectation. They should learn more about information technology skill. It is because, in the near future, they would use computer or internet for writing, presentation, research and so on. Therefore, they must expect to learn that in school. In order to answer their expectation, schools should utilize the money for information technologies.
Second reason is that an information technology is generally suitable for education. Students can learn more by using information technologies. For instance, in case students would like to learn English conversation, first choice is perhaps making a great effort in English conversation class in school. But if the school has no English conversation class, students can use internet service in order to improve English conversation skill. Now there are many services about studying English conversation using internet and skype. It is very convenient because student don’t have to go to cram schools for English conversation if they use them. Moreover, students can use information technologies for supplementary study or reviewing class. This example shows that information technologies can be used in many areas in education.
In conclusion, I definitely claims that the money received should be used for purchasing or upgrading information technologies.
