神戸ポートピアホテル本館

神戸ポートピアホテルは神戸港を望む絶景を望める非日常のリゾートステイを期待できるホテルです。本館のデザインコンセプトは「ミッドセンチュリー」。
「ミッドセンチュリー」とは1940年代から1960年代にかけて発展したモダンデザインの潮流です。戦後の新しい暮らしと技術革新を背景に、「機能的で、シンプルで、美しい」生活様式を意味します。
客室のベッド廻りは明快な色彩とグラフィック性のあるパターンをクッションにし、
床カーペット、壁紙、レース、イス張りなども「ミッドセンチュリー」パターンを採用しています。
バスルームは3点セットといわれるバスタブ、洗面ボール、トイレが並んでいるレイアウトです。
洗面ボールの天板にガラスを乗せ、バスタブ側に全面ミラーを採用し、清潔で広く見せる工夫をしました。

"Mid-century" is a modern design trend that developed from the 1940s to the 1960s. It refers to a lifestyle that is "functional, simple, and beautiful" against a backdrop of new lifestyles and technological innovations after the war.
Bedroom cushions in bright colors and graphic patterns are featured around the beds, while the floor carpet, wallpaper, lace, and upholstery also feature "Mid-century" patterns.
The bathroom is laid out with the three-piece set of bathtub, sink, and toilet lined up side by side.
The sink top is made of glass, and a full-length mirror is installed on the bathtub side, making the space look clean and spacious.
