上海に誕生したカペラは、1900年代初頭の石庫門住宅をリノベートした 全55室のラグジュアリーかつアットホームなホテルです。
カペラ上海ジャン イエ リーが誕生したのは、上海の建築遺産保護区となっている建業里エリア。
所謂、一般的なビルディングタイプのホテルではなく、住宅街の中に佇む隠れ家と呼ぶに相応しい全室ヴィラタイプのホテルで上海の伝統的建造物をリノベートして造られたホテルです。
赤レンガが美しい路地がヴィラへと続く回廊。門扉から部屋の中に入ると1階がリビングエリア、2階はミニバー、テレビ、カウチが配置されたリラクゼーションルーム、3階がウォークインクローゼットとソファーが備わったベッドルームというレイアウト。
中3階にバスルーム、更に屋上にはプライベートテラスという、ホテルの概念を越えたユニークかつ十分な室内空間が特徴です。
デザイナーは６７歳で亡くなってしまったジャヤ Pratomo イブラヒムさん。2015年、4月ジャカルタ東部の Cipayung にある自宅の2階から落ちた後、脳の内出血を患って突然死亡されました。このプロジェクトは遺作のようです。
3階のベッドルームです。デスクも備え付けられており、事務作業も出来ます。問題はエレベーターがないのでスーツケースを持ち上げるのが大変な作業です。
Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li is a 55-room luxury hotel located in a renovated Sekikomon residence dating back to the early 1900s.
Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li is located in the Jian Ye Li area, an architectural heritage site in Shanghai.
The hotel is not a typical building type hotel, but an all-villa type hotel, which is a perfect hideaway in a residential area, and was built by renovating a traditional Shanghai building.
A beautiful red brick alleyway leads to the villa. Entering through the gate, you will find a living area on the first floor, a relaxation room with a minibar, TV, and couch on the second floor, and a bedroom with a walk-in closet and sofa on the third floor. A bathroom on the mezzanine floor and a private terrace on the rooftop further add to the unique and ample interior space that transcends the concept of a hotel.
The designer was Jaya Pratomo Ibrahim, who passed away at the age of 67.
He died unexpectedly in 2015 after suffering an internal brain hemorrhage following a fall from the second floor of his home in Cipayung, East Jakarta, in April. This project appears to be his last work.
This is a bedroom on the third floor. A desk is also provided for office work.The problem is that there is no elevator so lifting the suitcase is a daunting task.
