When he was 6 years old he told me that he wanted to get a camera like mine (Nikon DSLR)
I remembered being his age and daydreaming about being able to capture the way I saw the world! As I grew up I found that photography is a passion of mine! So I've waited and waited because I wanted to share this with my nephew (seems like we're the same, no? Chu)

This year I decided, because he's almost 9 and can hold a camera well now!
So, I babysat him today and told him all about my camera, how the settings work, how to use the screen, change a lens and use the shutterbutton correctly (for focus and shooting!)

First, Lii changed a lense by himself, because my telescopic lense was too heavy LOL

So we used a lense which is lighter, but more difficult to use! (Even I have difficulty with it because the focus is hard, it's a fixed focal length lense !!!)
Then, we practiced changing the settings in both manual and apeture priority modes!  Embarrassed

It went really well again! And and andd ~ again like me! Because he told me that he prefers when the photos look like night time (moody photography! Yes !!! Throb

We went to the farm and the woods and took lots of pictures, and  please I have to say I am so proud, but also very very shocked because his photos were perfect !!!! Even with the difficult lense! So I'm thinking ... it's actually not just because I'm an aunty, my nephew is really truly special Embarrassed hahaha !!!

Sounds like it's just an aunty's tendency to brag right?

But look for yourselves !!!

To get this kind of effect with the lense he used is really something! And he managed the settings by himself the whole time!

Other people go to university to learn how to use settings in such a way (I did photography in college and it wasn't until my short university course that I finally learnt it !!! ha!)

My sister is so hard working, I always think she's incredible but.. to raise such amazing children is really her greatest success!

I'll be a big headed aunty forever Glassesnote
