The relationship between existence and memory may be too philosophical to easily express in a word.
However, we intuitively feel that such a relationship exists.
We all have our own inspiring experiences which we would like to leave in a concrete form, and we always try to express those experiences by using words.
I must ask myself,
“Are the impressions that are evoked in me by the words I hear the same impressions experienced by the speaker?”
Opportunities to confirm that I share the same understanding as the speaker are very few.
I feel, however, that sharing a meal with someone provides me with that rare opportunity. Even if people are awkward and not very talkative, delicious food can stir up conversation, and though people’s individual experiences may be different, “understanding” starts to blossom.
I believe that this is extremely important.
We would like to create a setting where this can occur.
