Today I will tell you about a very famous Chicago baseball stadium, Wrigley Field.

今日はシカゴにある、とっても有名な野球場「リグレーフィールド」を紹介します！
It first opened in 1914, making it over 100 years old! It is the oldest park in the National League, and the second oldest in the majors. The park was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2020.
このリグレーフィールドは1914年にオープンされたので、既に100年以上もの歴史があるのです！どれくらいの歴史があるかというと、ナショナル・リーグで最も古く、メジャーでは2番目に古い、というほどです。2020年には国定歴史的建造物にも指定されました。
Wrigley Field is the home of Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs, one of the city’s two MLB franchises. The cubs played their first home game in the park April 20, 1916, defeating the Cincinnati Reds 7-6 in 11 innings.
Wrigley Field is nicknamed “the Friendly Confines”, a name popularized by Hall of Fame shortstop and first baseman Ernie Banks.
更に、あのダルビッシュ有選手も所属していたメジャーリーグのチーム「シカゴカブス」の本拠地でもあります。
カブスは1916年4月20日、「シンシナティ・レッズ」を相手に初のホームゲームを行い、7：6の11回コールドで見事勝利を収めました！
また、殿堂入りを果たした遊撃手兼一塁手のアーニー・バンクスによって「The Friendly Confines/フレンドリー・コンファインズ」という愛称でも親しまれています。
Wrigley Field is known for various features, including its ivy-covered brick outfield wall, the iconic red marquee over the main entrance, and the hand-turned scoreboard.
リグレーフィールドが他の球場とは一味違うのは、ツタに覆われたレンガ造りの外野の壁や正面入り口の象徴的な赤いマーキー(ひさし)、手動のスコアボードなどがとても特徴的だからなのです！
