Hello! Today I was thinking about introducing you to my hometown, Reims.
Reims is a city located in the north-east of France, 130km away from Paris. This city is well known for two principal reasons:
-Being a major city in France’s history, Reims is also named the City of Coronations due to over 30 kings having been crowned in Notre Dame de Reims (Reims’s Cathedral).
-Champagne, with 16 champagne producers being settled in Reims including Mumm and Taittinger.
こんにちは！今日は私の故郷である「Reims(ランス)」について紹介しようと思います。
ランスはフランス北東部に位置する街で、パリからは約１３０キロ離れていて、主に二つの事柄でよく知られています。
一つ目は、フランスの歴史的重要都市であるということ。
ランスは「ノートルダム・ド・ランス(ランス大聖堂)」にて３０人以上もの王が載冠式を行ったことから「載冠式の街」とも呼ばれています。
二つ目はシャンパンです。
ランスには、マムやテタンジェをはじめとした１６ものシャンパンメーカーが居を構えています。
Due to those regions there’s a lot of very interesting buildings and museums.
Being raised there was kinda fun, as my mom’s house is situated at the end of the town. Being between a town and the countryside we had the possibility to enjoy the city’s advantages and the advantages of a less crowded place.
上記のような事柄のおかげで、ランスにはとても興味深い建物や博物館があります。
母の家は都市部の端にあり、そのような場所で育った事は私にとって幸運でした。
都市部と田舎の間にあったことで、私は色々な興味がもてる都会の良さと、人で混み合っていないという田舎の良さの両方を楽しむことが出来ました。

Due to its history, Reims has also very unique museums like the “Museum of the Surrender” (1st World War) or the Museum of Coronation in Palais du Tau, a palace.
その歴史的背景から、ランスには「第一次世界大戦時の降伏博物館」や「パレ・デュ・トー※の載冠式博物館」など、とてもユニークな博物館があります。
※パレ・デュ・トー…フランス国王が自身の再鑑識の際に滞在した「トー宮殿」のこと

The Christmas market even used to take place at the feet of the Cathedrale in December.
