【震災遺構 中浜小学校】
母は宮城県は亘理郡山元町の出身です。
海のすぐ近くにある本家は昔ながらの木造平屋で、農家を営んでいました。
中学にあがるまでは毎年お盆に訪れていて、ハウスの中でもぎたてのトマトを食べたり、自分で収穫したスイカでスイカ割りをしたり、夜は田んぼにホタルをとりに行ったり、ザリガニ釣りをしたり、お風呂は五右衛門風呂で私が風呂炊き担当したり、母の卒業した小学校の校庭開放で東京では珍しいタイヤの遊具で遊んだり。
楽しい田舎暮らしの思い出が沢山あります。
東日本大震災では、幸運にも親戚は誰も亡くなりませんでしたが、家や田畑やお墓や、いろいろなものが津波で流されてしまいました。
今、そこはネギ畑となり、海岸には以前よりもさらに高い堤防ができています。
そして母が卒業し、私が遊ばせてもらった坂元小学校は震災遺構として整備され、年間を通して沢山の見学者が訪れています。
ここに避難した人たちは奇跡的に助かりました。
海からこんなに近いのに、１０ｍを越える津波が来たのに、なぜ助かったのか、映像やガイドの方のお話で知ることができます。
そして津波の被害にあう前の、この地域のジオラマが作られていて、おじの家も復元されていました。
仙台からは電車で行くにはちょっと遠いのですが、機会があったらぜひ行ってみていただきたいと思います。

My mother is from Miyagi prefecture
Until high school, she has lived Yamamoto cho town where is near the sea.
Mygrandparents were farmer.
In my childhood I stayed their house for a week in every summer vacation.
Country side life was precious for me.
I had the great experiences there.
When there was a big earthquaqe in 2011, my grandparents had passed away already.
But my aunt, ancle and cousin lived the house.
Fortuately no one died.
But all washed away by a tsunami.
Now the area is field and there were hiher embankment in seaside.
And the elementary school that my mother guraduated was reopened as Ruins of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
You can know how the people who evaquated to this place kept their lifes.
And how Tsunami is fear.
It inconvinient to go here from Sendai station.
But if you have any oppotunity, I recommend you go there.
