裕仁皇太子、のちの昭和天皇は1921年（大正10年）3月3日に、横浜から軍艦「香取」でヨーロッパへ約半年間の旅に出発された。このときの各国の歓迎ぶり、特にイギリスは裕仁皇太子を熱烈に歓迎した。この写真、わたしはすばらしいと思う。裕仁皇太子が堂々と、りりしく写っている。服装はイギリス陸軍・将軍の軍服である。1921年６月８日付け「タトラー」というイギリスの新聞に掲載された写真で、昭和天皇の生涯におけるベストショットのうちの１枚ではないだろうか。
日本の外交官（いや日本人全体も）外国へ行ったら、このように胸をはって正々堂々とふるまってほしい。

Crown Prince Hirohito, later Emperor Showa, departed from Yokohama on March 3, 1921 aboard the warship "Katori" for a six-month travel to Europe. The welcome he received from each country, especially in Britain, was particularly enthusiastic.
I think this photograph is wonderful. Crown Prince Hirohito looks dignified. He is dressed in the uniform of a British Army general. The photograph was published in the British newspaper, "Tatler", on June 8, 1921, and I think this is one of the best shots of Emperor Showa's photos.

Aviation Enthusiasts, one of the authoritative aviation magazines in Japan, published a book review on my book which had been released three months ago. I really appreciate it.
The below photo shows the book about Tetsuzo Iwamoto, one of the brilliant flying aces, during the Pacific War. Tetsuzo believed he shot down 202 enemy planes from the Sino-Japanese War to the end of the World War Ⅱ.
ゴールデン・ウィーク中に迎賓館へ行った。日本にこんなすばらしいヨーロッパ風パレスがあるとは知らなかった。感動した。周囲の人に言うと、意外に、訪れていない人が多かった。一度は訪れてみればいいと思う。内部の写真撮影は禁止されている。
