滋賀県・多賀大社はかなり大きい神社である。神社入口前のみやげもの店で売っていた「糸切り餅」はこのあたりの名物・おみやげものである。ほんのり甘くておいしい。
Taga Shrine is a big shrine, the nearest big station of which is Hikone Station in Shiga Prefecture in Japan. The below picture shows Itokiri Mochi, or a rice cake confectionary, which is made by cutting a chunk of rice cake with a thread. Actually, I don’t know how this rice cake is made. Ito is a thread in Japanese, and kiri means to cut in Japanese. It is slightly sweet, anyway, a fancy souvenir around Taga Shrine.
