This is Chinese culture. Taiwanese also.
My roommate is Taiwanese and she was trying to stand egg. I didn't know why. But every Dragon boat festival they try to do that. And then if succeed that, will be happy this whole year.
Taiwanese name is Ying-an. She tried it. But she couldn't and gave up. I were watching she was trying. Then I wanted to try and succeed that. After a while, I tried and succeeded!!
I will be happy tihs year!!!!
And then other share mates tried it. Ying-an also. And everyone succeeded!! So we took pictures. That was so funny scenary.lol
After that other people actually our superviser came to
our house. And then saw standing eggs. They were surprised and tried it.
Everyone strugled with trying to do that. But everyone succeeded.
So everyone will be happy :)
Those culture is very innteresting!! There is nothing like that culture in Japan, we talked about that.

今日は旧暦で端午節でした。中国の文化です。あと台湾も！
私のルームメイトは台湾人でその子が卵を立たせようとしてたの。なんでかよく分からなかった。けど、毎年端午節の日にやるんだって。もし成功したらその一年幸せになれるとか…。
台湾人の名前はインアンっていうんだけど、インアン挑戦してたけどできなくて諦めたみたい。それ見てたらやりたくなって、成功させたくなった。負けず嫌いなとこでてるわ〜(笑)で、挑戦して成功させた！！！！私の一年きっと幸せだ！！！！
他のシェアメイトも挑戦してみんな成功させた！で、みんなで写真撮ったよー！めっちゃシュールで面白い(笑)
そのあと、スーパーバイザー来て、その立ってる卵見て驚いてた(笑)で、みんな挑戦してた。苦戦してたけど、みんな成功したから、きっとみんなこの一年幸せになれるよ😄
この文化面白いなーって思った！日本にはこうゆうのないねって話してました。
