ブログネタ：右利き？ 左利き？ 参加中私は左利き？派！
I was originally left handed, but became mixed handed after going through schooling years. The school I went was a Catholic school that was bit on a conservative side, where they had older nuns and teachers who grew up with the teachings of pre-Vatican II. So those teachers had a bit more to say about being "left handed". Now, if what my teacher did happened in a public school, I think the teacher could have gotten sued, but because our school was private, teachers had a li'l more power over their classrooms & on their teaching styles. Anyways, one of my teachers didn't like the fact that I was left handed, so she tried to fix my dominant hand to the right. I didn't like it at first, because it was uncomfortable for me to use right hand to take notes and such, but since she said I could use whichever hand I want out side of the school, I didn't mind practicing to use my right hand too much. The morality wise, what she did was very questionable, but actually I have gained much more, because of her. I mean, now I can throw pitches with both arms, which is a great advantage for playing baseball, and when I injured my left arm during an ice hockey season, I didn't have much of the inconvenience, because I could just use my right hand to do things. So, to be honest, I really don't mind what she did. Besides, everyday tools are usually made for right handed folks, such as scissors, can openers, etc. So, even tho, I forgot her name, thanks Mrs. Whomever!
Currently, I don't think I have any preferences of which hand to use depending on the tasks, cuz I could pretty much do the same thing with either hand. So, I'm probably more in the line of ambidextrous. Some of the tasks that requires tools, I might prefer to use my right hand, if the tools are made for right handed folks. I mean, I don't wanna take time looking for specially made left handed ones, if my right hand had no problem using those tools and taking care of the businesses. (The specially made tool for left handed ones usually cost a bit more, too... at times.)
*We say that our right hands are our sweethearts and our left hands are mistresses. (In the right handed dominant world. lol) Well, I wonder where shall I fit in... Hmmm, both the sweethearts or lovers... either way, it sounds like I should be on the Jerry Springer Show! (LOL)
