Casio Releases an Unusual Selfie Mirror Cam

Welcome to a Digital Camera Battery specialist
of the Casio Digital Camera Battery

Dubbed the Kawaii Selfie by Mirror Cam, Casio's Exilim MR1 is yet another manufacturer's foray into the selfie snapshot craze. But instead of giving the camera a flip LED to better frame your self-portraits, Casio has taken a more simplistic route by placing a two-way mirror in front of the lens.

Under the hood, we find the camera is a simple 14-megapixel shooter with an f/5 lens. A 700 mAh battery facilitates around 230 still shots, or up to 35 minutes of 1080p video on a full charge. The camera is Wi-Fi enabled and its backside reveals a standard 2.7-inch LCD screen with battery such as casio NP-100 battery, casio Exilim Pro EX-F1 battery, casio NP-90 battery, casio Exilim EX-H15 battery, casio Exilim EX-FH100 battery, casio Exilim EX-H30 battery, casio NP-110 battery, casio Exilim EX-Z2000 battery, casio NP-120 battery, casio Exilim EX-S200 battery, casio NP-130 battery, casio Exilim EX-ZR100 battery. Additional included software offers skin tone enhancement and image smoothing.

The fact that Casio's description of the mirror-finish surface claims "practically no distortion" and a coating that "keeps internal and external light reflection to a minimum" indicates there's likely going to be a bit of both. Alas, that's to be expected of a camera that's going for a mere $330 in Hong Kong.

The camera also supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, microSD cards, and features simple photo filters like sepia and fish-eye. It will be available in pink, green, and white.

Potential uses for the camera aren't relegated simply to the selfie category. The two-way mirror can also double as a compact mirror for touching up makeup or removing food from your teeth prior to your epic close-up.
