New Casio Freestyle Camera With Innovative Detachable Design Employs Cypress's

Welcome to a Digital Camera Battery specialist
of the Casio Digital Camera Battery

Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ: CY) today announced that Casio's innovative freestyle camera uses its TrueTouch® capacitive touchscreen controller and static random access memory (SRAM) products. The lens of the Casio EX-FR10 camera can be separated from the touchscreen control section, which gives users newfound flexibility to set the lens down, wear it on a neck strap or hold it at any angle, while being able to view the images on the TrueTouch-powered touchscreen and snap the exact picture they want. The camera uses Cypress's MoBL® (More Battery Life™) asynchronous low-power SRAMs to deliver fast throughput for fluid image data buffering.

TrueTouch brings its industry-leading liquid tolerance to the Casio EX-FR10 camera's display for seamless performance in real-world conditions, including the presence of rain, condensation, or sweat. This capability is based on Cypress's unique and patented DualSense™ technology, which allows TrueTouch solutions to execute both self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance measurements in the same device. TrueTouch also enables simple operation for the camera with familiar smartphone touch gestures, including allowing a flick of the screen to wake the display up from sleep mode and a tap of the screen to snap a picture. The Cypress MoBL SRAM brings its 45 ns speed to the camera in a small Ball Grid Array (BGA) package to minimize board space. Both solutions enable low power consumption to prolong battery with like casio NP-60 battery, casio Exilim EX-Z80 battery, casio Exilim EX-S10 battery, casio NP-70 battery, casio Exilim EX-Z250 battery, casio Exilim EX-Z150 battery, casio NP-80 battery, casio NP-82 battery, casio Exilim EX-Z280 battery, casio NP-L7 battery, casio CL7 battery, casio QV-EX3 batterylife.

"Having both our TrueTouch and MoBL SRAM solutions used in Casio's innovative EX-FR10 camera is excellent validation of Cypress's strong product offerings for the emerging wearable electronics market," said Hitoshi Yoshizawa, Vice President of Sales for Cypress in Japan. "In addition to delivering Cypress's industry-best water tolerance to the touchscreen, we worked with Casio to create customized firmware to meet their high standards for the user interface. This design also demonstrates how the breadth of our market-leading SRAM portfolio allows us to meet our customers' precise design requirements, and it reaffirms our ongoing commitment to the SRAM market."

Cypress's touch-sensing portfolio is the industry's broadest and most well-adopted, encompassing TrueTouch, CapSense®, and TrackPad solutions. The company's unmatched IP portfolio is backed by more than 100 capacitive touch-sensing patents. The IP includes true, single-layer sensor solutions with Cypress's Single-Layer Independent Multi-touch (SLIM®) sensor for dramatically reduced touchscreen costs.

Cypress holds the No. 1 global market share position in SRAMs -- the only memories that deliver the performance, reliability, and long product lifecycles vital to the evolution of the Internet and mission-critical systems everywhere.
