When I first worked with Koko Taylor, she asked me two questions afterwords.
" Did you enjoy?" " Do you like working with me?"
My answers were " Yes I did" and "Of course I do"
Then she said, "Alright then, we'll do this again" and smiled. That's it!! Nothing else.
Truth in a life is always simple It seems.
ENJOY and LIKE are especially the core of the truth, now I understand.
You started it because you (might) LIKE and ENJOY doing it.
You can keep doing it because you LIKE and ENJOY.
This wise lady knew about this and she taught me in the very first night we worked together!
ココ・テイラーと最初にステージを共にした日、終演後に彼女は２つだけ質問してきた。
「楽しかった？」 「私と仕事するのは好き？」
自分の答えは、「はい楽しみました」、「もちろんです」
そして彼女は、「それはよかった。ではまた一緒にやりましょう」と言って微笑んだ。
この日、彼女が自分に言ったのはそれだけだった。
人生の真実は、すごくシンプルなのだろと思うこの頃。
”楽しい”、”好きだ”は、特に真実の中心にあるものだと思える。
好きで楽しそうだから音楽を始めた。
好きで楽しいから続けて来た。
賢明なココは、最初に仕事をした日に、とっても大切な事を自分に教えてくれたんだなあ、と今それを実感している。
